KATHMANDU: Gold prices in Nepal have reached an all-time high, setting a historic record in the local market.
On Tuesday, the price of standard gold (Chhapawal) surged to Rs 217,100 per tola, marking the highest level ever recorded.
According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Association, this represents an increase of Rs 1,900 compared to Monday, when gold traded at Rs 215,200 per tola.
Silver prices also saw a significant rise, reaching Rs 2,595 per tola on Tuesday, up Rs 320 from Monday’s rate of Rs 2,275 per tola, marking a record high for silver as well.
