French national found in Pashupatinath handed over to immigration
Police further revealed that the French citizen has been living in Nepal for the past six years with his Nepali wife.
KATHMANDU: Kathmandu police have handed over a French national to the Immigration Department after he was found stranded in the Pashupatinath area.
According to Pawan Kumar Bhattarai, spokesperson for the Kathmandu District Police, the individual was traced by police following the circulation of a video showing him in a vulnerable state.
Bhattarai stated, “After questioning the French national, it was confirmed that he was not a victim of theft or robbery. Therefore, we have handed him over to the Immigration Department.”
Police further revealed that the French citizen has been living in Nepal for the past six years with his Nepali wife.
Due to financial difficulties, he had reportedly left his passport, mobile phone, laptop, and other belongings at the hotel where he was staying.
