KATHMANDU: The vote-counting process for the election of new leadership at the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) is currently underway in Kathmandu following the conclusion of voting.
The main election office began counting ballots immediately after the completion of the polling process, which selected office bearers including the senior vice president, three vice presidents, and executive committee members.
Business leaders contested the election by forming different panels, making the race highly competitive.
According to the election committee, counting is ongoing across multiple clusters, and results will be released gradually as verification progresses.
The committee has stated that final outcomes for each category will be announced once counting is completed.
The election witnessed enthusiastic participation from representatives of district and municipal chambers of commerce and industry, commodity associations, and associate members from across the country.
Under the FNCCI statute, the elected senior vice president will automatically assume the presidency for the next term.
