Five men missing in Bardiya National Park while hunting

A four-member police team led by Assistant Sub-Inspector Topendra Singh Thakuri has been deployed to search for the missing individuals.

KATHMANDU: Five men from Surkhet have gone missing after entering Bardiya National Park for hunting, police said.

The missing individuals have been identified as 25-year-old Resham Samseli, 41-year-old Ravilal Damai, 34-year-old Ram Bahadur Gharti, and 30-year-old Sunil Samseli of Barahatal Rural Municipality–1, Jyamire, as well as 45-year-old Durga Bahadur Sijali of Lekbeshi Municipality–8, Gangate, who is currently residing in Bardiya.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Mohan Jung Budhathapa of the District Police Office Surkhet, authorities received information around 5 pm on Sunday that the group had gone missing after entering the national park for hunting.

A four-member police team led by Assistant Sub-Inspector Topendra Singh Thakuri has been deployed to search for the missing individuals.

The District Police Office Bardiya has also been informed to assist in the search operation.
