World Cup 2026 to stream on Himalaya Sports & DGO in Nepal
According to DishHome Digital, no other medium will carry official World Cup coverage in the country, underscoring the exclusivity of the rights arrangement.
KATHMANDU: The FIFA World Cup 2026, set to begin in one month, will be broadcast exclusively in Nepal through Himalaya Sports TV and the DGO mobile application.
The official announcement was made during a special program held in Kathmandu on Friday, confirming that Nepali viewers will be able to watch all World Cup matches only through these two platforms.
It was stated that no other medium within Nepal will carry the live broadcast.

Spro Media, which holds FIFA broadcasting rights for Nepal, has signed an exclusive agreement with Himalaya Sports and Himalaya Television for television broadcasting, and with the DGO app for mobile streaming.
Following the agreement, Spro Media Chairman Som Dhital said that Nepali audiences will now be able to watch the World Cup on domestic television and mobile platforms, ending dependence on foreign channels.
Launch of Himalaya Sports and DGO App
On the same occasion, Himalaya Television officially launched its dedicated sports channel, Himalaya Sports. The channel was inaugurated by Himalaya Television Network Chairman Dharmaraj Bhusal, Executive Director Shyam Kandel, and Himalaya Sports CEO Suraj Giri.
Chairman Bhusal stated that the network has entered a new phase by introducing a subscription-based model to deliver world-class sports content in Nepal.
Executive Director Kandel added that Himalaya Sports has been launched to promote the sports economy and deliver high-quality sports content to viewers.

The event also marked the official launch of the DGO mobile application, previously known as “DishHome Go,” which has been rebranded with upgraded technology and features. The app was inaugurated by Dish Media Network Chairman Hemraj Dhakal, Director Sudip Acharya, and CEO Prasanna Pokharel.
Chairman Dhakal described the initiative as a major opportunity, stating that the market, technology, and audience readiness make this a timely investment. He also emphasized that DGO aims to connect Nepali audiences worldwide through digital content.

Subscription Details
To watch the FIFA World Cup, viewers must subscribe to Himalaya Sports on television or through the DGO app.
- Television (Set-top box subscription): Rs 999 (including tax)
- Mobile app early-bird offer: Rs 799 (limited period)
- Mobile-only subscription: Rs 549 (including tax)
Subscribers will be able to watch all 104 World Cup matches after purchasing the service.
For television access, viewers must contact their respective cable operators or TV service providers.
