Energy Ministry signs 2082/83 performance agreements with agencies (photos)
The agreements were formalized today at the ministry, in the presence of Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation Minister Deepak Khadka, along with three secretaries of the ministry and the secretaries of the agencies.
KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation has signed performance agreements for the fiscal year 2082/83 with the heads of its affiliated agencies.
The agreements were formalized today at the ministry, in the presence of Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation Minister Deepak Khadka, along with three secretaries of the ministry and the secretaries of the agencies.

During the program, Minister Khadka, Energy Secretary Suresh Acharya, Water Resources and Irrigation Secretary Sarita Dawadi, and Secretary of the Water and Energy Commission Secretariat Dinanath Mishra signed the agreements.

Similarly, Secretary Dawadi and Director General of the Department of Water Resources and Irrigation, Engineer Mitra Baral, signed the performance agreement in the presence of Minister Khadka.

Speaking at the event, Minister Khadka emphasized that based on past experiences, the agencies could achieve more than what is mentioned in the agreements.

He urged closer monitoring of project progress, addressing challenges in project implementation, better coordination, and the installation of an online reporting system to track weekly progress.

Earlier, on 29 Shrawan, a performance agreement had been signed between Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Minister Khadka at the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers’ Office.

Secretary Dawadi stressed that, according to the performance agreements, the work would be evaluated based on results, requiring focused and outcome-oriented efforts.
Director General Baral expressed his commitment to achieving 100% progress in departmental work. Secretary Mishra of the Water and Energy Commission Secretariat highlighted the need to implement the agreements effectively and urged all stakeholders to fulfill the objectives set by the institution.
The event also saw Secretaries Acharya and Dawadi signing performance agreements with the heads of various divisions and departments under the ministry.
