Dr. Koirala sole NC candidate in Morang-6

KATHMANDU: Dr. Shekhar Koirala has been unanimously recommended as the sole candidate of the Nepali Congress from Morang constituency number 6 for the upcoming House of Representatives election.

Dinesh Thapaliya, Koirala’s personal secretary, stated that the regional committee meeting held today endorsed him as the single candidate.

The Congress central committee had directed that up to three names be recommended per constituency, including at least one woman.

However, no other leaders filed nominations in Morang-6, paving the way for Dr. Koirala’s unopposed recommendation.

The House of Representatives election is scheduled for Falgun 21, with the party’s final candidate selection to be confirmed by provincial and central committees.
