The launch continues DishHome’s ongoing efforts to integrate cutting-edge technology to enhance customer experience.
KATHMANDU: Dish Media Network Limited (DishHome) has unveiled “Khushi,” a two-way voice AI, marking a significant milestone in Nepal’s digital innovation landscape.
The launch continues DishHome’s ongoing efforts to integrate cutting-edge technology to enhance customer experience.
In recent years, DishHome has introduced several tech-driven initiatives. The company previously launched a Virtual Privilege Card, offering customers up to 25% discounts at over 200 partner businesses, including hotels, restaurants, resorts, healthcare services, and electronics.
Additionally, DishHome made history by live-streaming the opening match of the Nepal Premier League 2025 on its OTT platform, DishHome Go, attracting over 200,000 simultaneous viewers and redefining digital entertainment in Nepal.
The league is currently ongoing.
A Big Step in Voice AI
“Khushi” is designed with a focus on local relevance and user utility. The AI system will engage with inactive customers in natural Nepali language conversations, offer relevant promotions, and collect feedback, complaints, and suggestions for the customer service team.
It also features sentiment analysis to generate reports based on customer emotions during interactions.
In cases of service disruptions due to technical issues, “Khushi” will integrate with DishHome’s central system to provide real-time updates on the cause, estimated resolution time, and progress, ensuring effective and timely customer support even during peak call volumes.
Future Expansion Plans
DishHome plans to expand “Khushi” to automatically verify and update customer information in its database.
It will also manage scheduling for technical support and maintenance, coordinating with customers to optimize timing while maintaining service quality.
Furthermore, “Khushi” will be integrated into existing chatbots on Facebook Messenger and web chat, with plans to expand to WhatsApp and Viber in the near future.
DishHome emphasizes that the effectiveness of “Khushi” depends on the quality, scope, and continuous improvement of Nepali-language conversational AI.
To strengthen AI research and development, DishHome is collaborating with international AI research institutions and leveraging its extensive customer database for testing and training purposes.
With “Khushi,” DishHome sets a new benchmark for commercial AI applications in Nepal, moving towards a more digital, responsive, and human-like AI customer service experience.
