KATHMANDU: Dr Tara Joshi, a member of the Sudurpaschim Provincial Assembly, has resigned from his post.
Elected as an independent candidate from Dadeldhura Provincial Constituency (B), Dr Joshi stepped down after being nominated by the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) as its candidate for the House of Representatives from Dadeldhura.
According to Sudurpaschim Provincial Assembly Speaker Bhim Bahadur Bhandari, Dr Joshi submitted his resignation via email on Sunday, citing his decision to contest the federal parliamentary election.
Dr Joshi had recently joined the Ujyalo Nepal Party.
However, even after the party’s unity with the RSP collapsed, he continued to stand in favor of unity and remained aligned with the RSP.
