KATHMANDU: The Cyber Bureau of the Nepal Police has once again warned the public against operating or engaging in illegal online gambling sites and platforms.

Bureau spokesperson Shivkumar Shrestha urged everyone to refrain from participating in or facilitating illegal activities.
He clarified that any equipment used for illegal gambling will be confiscated.
Under the Muluki Criminal Code, 2074, individuals involved in online gambling face criminal charges, which may include imprisonment, fines, or both.
Additionally, any funds earned or equipment used in the illegal gambling operation will be seized by authorities.
The bureau has also requested the public to avoid any transactions on banned online gambling apps or platforms and to report any such activities if encountered.
