CPN (Unified Socialist) designates former PM Khanal & Secretary Shah as election commanders
In addition to overseeing the election campaign in their respective districts and provinces, they have been assigned by the Politburo member Dilu Panta.
KATHMANDU: The CPN (Unified Socialist) has strategically designated the upcoming by-elections on the April 27, appointing their candidates with the title of ‘Commander’ to steer the election process.
Former Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal has been entrusted with the responsibility of election candidacy in Ilam Constituency No. 2, while party secretary Garima Shah has been tasked with the role of a State Assembly member in Bajhang 1 of Sudurpashchim State.
According to Politburo member Dilu Pant, the election commanders have been assigned with the responsibility of mobilizing the leaders and cadres of the respective districts and states in the elections.
The party has also formed a task force under the coordination of Deputy Chair Pamesh Hamal, with General Secretary Ghanashyam Bhusal and Secretary Jeevanram Shrestha, to facilitate necessary preparations in the election areas.
