Body of woman found inside sack identified
The deceased had gone missing after leaving her home around 9:30 PM on Jestha 13.
KATHMANDU: The body of a young woman found inside a sack in the Ratuwa Khola area of eastern Nepal has been identified as 21-year-old Roma Tiwari, a resident of Basanta Tole in Ward No. 8 of Damak Municipality.
According to the District Police Office, Jhapa, the identification was confirmed on Sunday after her parents, Narayan Tiwari and Muna Tiwari, formally identified the body.
The deceased had gone missing after leaving her home around 9:30 PM on Jestha 13 and had not been in contact with her family since then.
Her body was discovered earlier in a sack tied and left near the Setumari Bridge area of Ratuwa Khola, raising serious suspicion over the circumstances of her death.
Police have stated that the condition in which the body was found suggests possible foul play.
A detailed investigation has been launched, with authorities collecting evidence from the scene and working to identify and apprehend those involved.
