Balen campaigner airlifted to Kathmandu after collapsing in Achham (video)

KATHMANDU: A member of the election campaign team of senior Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) leader Balen Shah collapsed while on campaign in Achham and was airlifted to Kathmandu for treatment.

The individual has been identified as 44-year-old Dinesh Sitaula of Nuwakot.

He reportedly lost consciousness suddenly on Wednesday morning during the campaign.

According to Achham Chief District Officer Yagya Bahadur Budha, Sitaula was evacuated to Kathmandu by a Nepal Army helicopter.

He confirmed the development while speaking to Makalu Khabar.

Sitaula had joined the election campaign alongside Balen Shah from Kathmandu and collapsed after reaching the area of Bhupdev Shah in Achham.

An RSP leader said that further details about Sitaula’s health condition will be shared after receiving an updated medical report.
