Balen’s team member falls ill in Achham

KATHMANDU: A member of the election campaign team of Balendra Shah, senior leader of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSWP), has been seriously injured in Achham.

Shah, who is campaigning across the country ahead of the upcoming House of Representatives elections, had reached in Achham when Dinesh Sitaula, a campaign team member from Tokha, Kathmandu, suddenly collapsed on Friday morning.

According to Dr. Kamlesh Yadav, Chief of Achham District Hospital, Sitaula sustained a severe head injury.

Considering the seriousness of his condition, arrangements are being made to transfer him to Kathmandu for advanced treatment.

Dr. Yadav stated that Sitoula requires a CT-Scan and specialized neurosurgical care, which is not available at the district hospital.

Consequently, the decision was made to refer him to a hospital in Kathmandu.

The Nepalese Army is preparing to airlift the injured Sitoula via helicopter from the Achham District Hospital premises.

Hospital sources confirmed that once the necessary procedures are completed, the transfer will take place.

Shah is currently present at the hospital, overseeing the treatment process and coordinating necessary arrangements for Sitaula’s care.
