KATHMANDU: Al-Nassr have booked their place in the Saudi Super Cup final after defeating Al Ittihad 2-1 at Hong Kong Stadium, despite being reduced to 10 men for most of the match.

The game started in thrilling fashion as Sadio Mane opened the scoring in the 10th minute to give Al-Nassr the lead.

Just five minutes later, Steven Bergwijn struck back for Al-Ittihad to level the contest.

The drama intensified late in the first half when Mane was shown a red card for a foul on the goalkeeper, leaving Al-Nassr under pressure with only 10 players.

However, the Riyadh giants showed remarkable resilience. Around the 60th minute, Joao Felix netted his first goal since joining from Chelsea, finishing off a fine assist from Cristiano Ronaldo to restore Al-Nassr’s advantage.

Al Nassr held firm until the final whistle and sealed their spot in the title clash.

They will face the winner of Al-Ahli vs. Al Qadsiah in the final.
