Adult rhino found dead in Kawasoti, probe underway

KATHMANDU: An adult male rhinoceros was found dead this morning in Lokaha Syaule, Ward No. 1 of Kawasoti Municipality in Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East), officials confirmed.

According to Bishnu Prasad Adhikari, Chief of the Divisional Forest Office, Nawalpur, the rhino was discovered in the maize field of local resident Bhim Bahadur Darji. Authorities stated that the animal’s horn and hooves have been safely secured.

No visible external injuries were found on the body, and the exact cause of death has not yet been determined.

Officials have launched an investigation to find out what led to the death of the adult rhino.
