80K voters exit valley in 3 days for March 5 polls

KATHMANDU: Ahead of the House of Representatives election, voters from the Kathmandu Valley are traveling to their respective districts to cast their ballots.

According to Pankaj Malla, Human Resources Chief at Lohtse Multipurpose Transport Service, a private sector operator, 374 buses on Friday and 317 buses on Saturday carried approximately 80,000 passengers over the two days.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Sunil Jung Shah from the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office confirmed that around 80,000 people departed the valley in the past two days.
