KATHMANDU: Arsenal missed the opportunity to strengthen their lead at the top of the Premier League after being held 0-0 by Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners could have stretched their advantage to eight points after Manchester City drew 1-1 with Brighton on Wednesday, but Liverpool’s goalkeeper Alisson kept Arsenal at bay throughout the match.

Arsenal struggled to create clear chances, and even in injury time, failed to test the Brazilian keeper.

Liverpool also lacked attacking threat, compounded by the absence of injured Hugo Ekitike.

Earlier, Conor Bradley’s shot hit the crossbar before he left the field with a knee injury.

The draw ended Arsenal’s seven-game home winning streak, though they remain six points ahead of Manchester City and Aston Villa. Liverpool sit fourth, 14 points behind Arsenal.
