KATHMANDU: Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank Limited, consistently providing high-quality financial services for the past 29 years, has been actively involved in various collaborative programs aimed at societal welfare through its branches across Nepal.

Under its institutional social responsibility, the bank has conducted programs in collaboration with Nepal Police, Youth Clubs, schools, municipalities, and Rotary Clubs.

In a recent initiative, the Belauri branch of the bank transferred awareness-related boards regarding counterfeit drugs to the Belauri Kanchanpur Police Office.

Bank’s Sudurpaschim State Head Sunil Kumar Nepal handed over the boards to Gauri Prasad Jaisi, Head of Police Office Belauri Kanchanpur.

Furthermore, the Koteshwor branch of the bank has transferred a water tap kit to Kathmandu Metropolitan City-32, Koteshwor Social Reform Youth Club. The club building now has a water supply system, facilitated by the bank, to meet the water needs of the community. Mr. Utsav Makaju, the Chief of the Koteshwor branch, facilitated the transfer to Mr. Subash Kumar Rimal, the Chair of the Youth Club.

Similarly, the Itahari branch has transferred school bags, stationery, and other educational materials to Shree Bal Bahubhashi Basic School in Tarahara Sunsari.

This initiative aims to ease the educational burden for students from low-income families attending the school. Mr. Deepak Kumar Gupta, the Chief of the Koshi State, facilitated the transfer to the students.

Similarly, a CC camera has been installed by the Shishuwa branch of the bank to cover the Shishuwa Bazar area located at No. 30 in Pokhara. The Bank has provided this support with the belief that it will control various possible criminal activities as well as vehicle accidents within Shishuwa Bazar area. Mr. Dhruvaraj Tiwari, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the bank, handed over the CCTV camera to Mr. Durga Prasad Subedi, Ward Chairman of Ward No. 30, Pokhara.

In conjunction with the mentioned initiatives, the Rotary Club of Hetauda has collaborated with Hetauda branch of the bank to conduct a dustbin distribution program. This program aims to manage litter in the streets, public pathways, and parks of Hetauda Municipality, creating a cleaner and more hygienic sub-metropolitan city.

The bank’s support in this endeavor is geared towards fostering a cleaner environment and promoting civic responsibility.

Additionally, the bank has expressed its commitment to continue conducting various social and economic transformation programs under its social responsibility umbrella in the coming days.

This signifies the bank’s ongoing efforts to organize programs aimed at societal welfare, including social and economic transformations, on a consistent basis.
