Bagmati 4 newly appointed ministers assume office

KATHMANDU: The four newly appointed ministers of Bagmati State took office today.

Ministers Keshav Prasad Pokharel, Rameshwar Shrestha, Ekalal Shrestha and Prakash Shrestha, who took oath yesterday from the state chief Yadav Chandra Sharma, reached the respective ministries and took office today.

Keshav Prasad Pokharel has been given the responsibility of the Ministry of Forest and Environment, Rameshwar Shrestha the Ministry of Health, Ekalal Shrestha the Ministry of Water Supply, Irrigation and Energy and Prakash Shrestha the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, Land and Administration.

On March 6, six ministers from the Nepali Congress resigned collectively and left the government. After getting 56 votes in the vote of confidence taken by Chief Minister Jammakattel for the third time, the government led by him will continue.

There are 110 members of the State Assembly from the ruling party and the opposition. According to the recommendation of Chief Minister Jammakttel, Bagmati State Chief Yadav Chandra Sharma has also assigned the work division of the Council of Ministers.

Also, Laxman Lamsal, Minister of Labour, Employment and Transport, Keshavraj Pokharel, Minister of Forests and Environment, Rameshwar Shrestha, Minister of Health, Ekalal Shrestha, Minister of Drinking Water, Energy and Irrigation, Prakash Shrestha, Minister of Industry and Commerce, Lands and Administration, Shailendraraj Bajracharya, Minister of Culture, Tourism and Cooperatives and Rama Ale Magar He is a minister.
