Lumbini CM Chaudhary to seek vote of confidence on Thursday

KATHMANDU: Chief Minister of Lumbini State Dilli Bahadur Chaudhary is going to take the vote of confidence on April 4.

The meeting of the State Council of Ministers held on Tuesday morning has decided to recommend to the state chief to convene a special session at 4 pm on Thursday to take the vote of confidence.

Chief Minister Chaudhary is in the minority after the CPN-Maoist Center withdrew its support. As the power equation at the center changed, the Maoist center in Lumbini withdrew its support on March 6.

With UML, Maoist Centre, JSP, Nagarik Unmukti Party and Unified Socialist Party, it seems that the coalition formed according to the new equation will get the majority.
