KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba held discussions in a meeting held at Baluwatar on Thursday morning.

The two senior leaders engaged in approximately one-hour-long discussions during the meeting, which was attended by Prachanda, who is also the chair of the CPM (Maoist Centre), and Deuba, the president of the Nepali Congress.

According to information provided by Prachanda’s press advisor, Govinda Acharya, the leaders deliberated on the issue of regularizing parliamentary proceedings and passing pending legislation.

The meeting between the two leaders comes amid Congress’ accusations against Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane of involvement in cooperative fraud, prompting calls for the formation of a parliamentary probe committee and resulting in disruptions in the House of Representatives sessions.

This marks the first meeting between Prachanda and Deuba following the dissolution of the alliance between the Congress and the Maoist Center March 12.
