KATHMANDU: Nabil Bank Limited has initiated a country-wide program focused on enhancing financial literacy across all seven states.

As part of its ongoing efforts to promote financial literacy, the leading bank in the country, Nabil, has conducted a program centered on youth and students called “Global Money Week 2024”.

From March 18 to 24, the campaign titled “Protest your money, secure your future” was globally executed under the umbrella of Global Money Week. Within this campaign, Nabil Bank has conducted financial literacy enhancement programs among more than 1,900 students across all seven states of the country.

Nabil Bank aims to raise awareness among youth from a young age about the importance of financial awareness and the necessity to provide sound financial education.

The bank has been actively conducting awareness campaigns with a focus on Global Money Week, covering topics such as savings, budgeting, investment, digital financial literacy, cyber security, among others, for students across all seven states.

Nabil Bank’s branches have organized programs across various educational institutions nationwide to promote financial literacy. Over 673 students in Koshi State alone have benefited from these initiatives.

Similarly, 220 students from Madhesh State participated in financial literacy classes, while more than 425 students across various colleges in Bagmati State have also been positively impacted by the activities conducted.

Additionally, the Nepal Bankers Association, Chitwan, organized a financial literacy program in which approximately 300 bankers, along with members of the general public, participated.

In Lumbini State, 135 students, and in Sudurpaschim State, 120 students have benefited from the financial literacy programs conducted by banks. Similarly, approximately 240 students have been positively impacted in Karnali State.

These initiatives underscore the commitment of Nabil Bank and other financial institutions to enhance financial literacy nationwide, empowering students and communities with valuable financial knowledge.

In Gandaki State, a unique program was conducted by the Pokhara branch of Nabil Bank in collaboration with Lofa Pokhara, focusing on financial literacy through art competition. Students from grades 8 to undergraduate level participated in the competition held in two categories.

The final results will be announced at the same event. Under this program, Nabil Bank Pokhara Branch will distribute educational materials as prizes to the first, second, and third winners in each category.

Nabil Bank has been conducting various programs throughout the year to promote financial literacy and inspire digital banking.

Additionally, programs such as ‘Nabil SSE’ are being implemented for the development of social entrepreneurship. Educational loans at subsidized interest rates, youth entrepreneurial loans, and other similar programs are being conducted for the development of youth and students.

Nabil Bank Nepal is a leading bank in the country, providing services through 267 branches, 22 extension counters, and 313 ATMs nationwide. The bank has been serving over 2.2 million customers with banking services.
