GIBL honored for highest inward remittances in FY 2079/80

KATHMANDU: Global IME Bank Limited (GIBL) has been honored as the bank and financial institution with the highest inward remittances during the fiscal year 2079/80, as recognized in the 69th Annual Celebration of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB).

During the special event held at the Central Office of NRB in Baluwatar on Friday, Governor Maha Prasad Adhikari presented a letter of commendation to Mr. Ratnaraj Bajracharya, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of GIBL.

GIBL was recognized for successfully achieving an increase of 21.1 percent in inward remittances, surpassing all other banks and financial institutions in the country.

The NRB acknowledged the contribution of GIBL in maintaining the country’s overall economic stability, social-economic improvements, and external sector balance through its inflow of remittances.

As part of its annual celebration, NRB has honored banks and financial institutions that have excelled in inward remittances.

GIBL, with its extensive branch network across the country spanning over seventy-seven districts, is the first commercial bank in the private sector to have a branch network in such a vast geographical area.
