KATHMANDU: Mobilizing its institutional social responsibility, Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank identifies and reaches various underserved segments beyond financial access.

The bank conducted financial literacy, rallies, and awareness programs through its branches and regional offices across seven states.

These initiatives aimed to enhance financial knowledge, savings, and behavioral patterns among students and youth during Global Money Week 2024.

The bank engaged nearly a thousand individuals including students, local youths, employees, farmers, small entrepreneurs, potential migrants, women, and recipients of remittances. Through these programs, participants gained insights into areas like savings, loans, investments, counterfeit notes, and financial discipline.

“Additionally, during GMW 2024, the bank organized morning sessions at various locations, utilizing social media platforms to disseminate educational videos on topics like digital payments, financial frauds, and risks associated with public Wi-Fi usage.

These efforts contributed to the successful completion of Global Money Week 2024, aligning with the bank’s longstanding commitment to providing simple, accessible, and quality financial services to the Nepalese population while continuously enhancing institutional social responsibility.
