Devkota elected UML Surkhet chair

KATHMANDU: Kulmani Devkota has been elected the chair of CPN (UML) Surkhet.
In an election held on Sunday for new leadership, Devkota defeated his close contender Amrit Kumar BC.
According to CPN (UML) Surkhet, among other elected are Mohan Baduwal (vice-chair), Dambar Tiwari (secretary) and Tikaram Somai (deputy secretary–open).
Likewise, Sushila Biswokarma was elected to the post of women secretary.
Vote count for members is going on, the election committee informed.
