KATHMANDU: The election for the new leadership of the CPN-UML District Committee in Dhading has concluded, with district committee officials now determined through the electoral process.

Bhumi Tripathi’s group emerged victorious in the election, securing key office bearer posts.

According to the officially published results, the Tripathi group clinched the posts of chair, vice chair, secretary, and two deputy secretaries.

Dr. Ramkumar Adhikari secured victory with 547 votes, while his contender Dr. Ramkumar Adhikari garnered 309 votes.

Arjun Shrestha Gorkhali and Radhika Sapkota clinched the positions of Vice Chair and Secretary respectively within the Tripathi Group. Gorkhali received 315 votes, while Sapkota garnered 338 votes.

Meanwhile, from the Ramkumar Adhikari group, vice chair candidate Ramkumar Acharya received 232 votes, and secretary candidate Hariram Lohani secured 209 votes.

Bhakta Bahadur Lamichhane was elected as the open deputy secretary from the Tripathi group with 348 votes, while Urmila Regmi Rupakheti secured 351 votes as the women’s deputy secretary.

Deepak Khatiwada and Khupikumari Tamang were the candidates for the women’s deputy secretary post.

Following the session that started on Falgun 21 (March 5) failed to elect the leadership by consensus, the two aspirants for the presidency, Bhumi Tripathi and Dr. Ramkumar Adhikari, formed a panel and contested the election.
