KATHMANDU: Nepal clinched a thrilling victory against Canada in the opening match of the Nepal-Canada Bilateral ODI Series, marking an enthralling encounter.

In pursuit of Nepal’s target of 225 runs, Canada’s innings concluded as Nepal’s bowlers displayed an exceptional performance, dismissing them in 47.4 overs.

Kushal Bhurtel spearheaded Nepal’s batting effort, laying a solid foundation with his impressive 62-run knock, while Bhim Sarki contributed a valuable 17 runs to the team’s tally.

Furthermore, Kushal Malla’s 20 runs, alongside Aasif Sheikh and captain Rohit Poudel’s eight runs each, bolstered Nepal’s innings.

Captain Rohit Poudel stood out on the bowling front, claiming four crucial wickets.
