Independent Mayor Hamal abstains from voting in National Assembly elections

KATHMANDU: Gopal Hamal, the mayor of Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City of Kailali, will not vote for the member of the National Assembly.

Hamal, the city mayor, has informed that he would not vote for members of the National Assembly which was held on Thursday.

Voting for members of the National Assembly continues at the Sudurpaschim State Assembly Secretariat.

So far, 173 locals have voted.

The election officer’s office said that two persons have yet to vote. 52 members of the provincial legislature voted. One of the 53 members of the state assembly died.

On the local level, 173 out of 175 individuals voted.

Six people are in the electoral field for three members of the National Assembly from Sudurpaschim.
