One held with 499 grams of gold from TIA

KATHMANDU: A person has been arrested from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) Customs with about half a kilo of gold.

Khagendra Darji of Jhapa was nabbed with 499 grams of gold.

Tokaraj Pandey, Head of TIA Customs Office, stated that the Darji who arrived in Kathmandu via Doha was apprehended during the inspection with 499 grams of gold.

Some of the recovered gold is semi-solid.

Cyrrently, a squad of armed police officers has been deployed at the customs.

It is seen as a success following the deployment of the armed police.
