KATHMANDU: In protest against the school education bill, teachers from all over the country have started a movement centered on the capital, Kathmandu.
The teachers and school staff who left the classrooms from different districts and came to Kathmandu started the street protest.
A march is currently going place from Maitighar Mandala to New Baneshwor at the request of the Nepal Teachers’ Federation.
The teaching staff, including relief, contract, child development, and permanent employees, has objected with the bill on 18 different areas.
They are requesting problems such as transfer, promotion, and demotion, as well as not being subservient to the local level.
Due to the street movement of teachers, Kathmandu’s streets have become chaotic.
There is difficulty in managing to restore vehicular traffic.
