In Pics: devotees crowds at Risheshwar Mahadev

KATHMANDU: Rishi Panchami, which falls on Bhadra Shukla Panchami, is observed today by Nepalese women by worshiping Sapta Rishi with Arundhati.

Women get early this morning to take a bath in order to complete the Haritalika fast on Monday. They bathe in nearby rivers, streams, lakes, ponds, and ponds with cow dung, mud, and ashes after 7:30 p.m.

Although it is usual for both men and women to fast and worship Haritalika (Teej), Rishi Panchami is only for women.

On this occasion, devotees gaather to the Risheshwar Mahadev temple in the capital’s Teku neighborhood.
