Fatal pickup van & bike collision claims one life, leaves one injured

KATHMANDU: Tragedy struck in Barakilo, Jitpur Simara Sub-Metropolitan-16, Bara, as a motorcycle with the registration number State 3-03-001 P 0039 collided with a pick-up vehicle bearing the registration number State 3-010-22 Cha 3197.
The collision resulted in the untimely demise of the motorcyclist, Nishan Shrestha, a 24-year-old resident of Makwanpur, Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-11.
This unfortunate incident occurred on a Monday evening.
He was critically hurt in the crash and died while receiving treatment at the Nijgadh Community Maternity Hospital.
In addition, one person injured on the motorcycle is being treated at the same hospital.
The police have seized the driver of the pickup truck.
