KATHMANDU: The bus fell into the Trishuli River.

The bus, that was travelling from Kathmandu to Pokhara, plunged into the Trishuli River under the Prithvi Highway at Chalise, which is located in Gajuri Rural Municipality 2 of Dhading.

The bus fell into the Trishuli River at roughly 10:40 p.m., according to SP Gautam Mishra, Head of District Police Office, Dhading.

Rescue workers have been dispatched to the accident scene.

8 killed

According to Dhading district police chief SP Gautam Mishra, 8 people died in the accident.

Among the dead are 2 women and 6 men.

8 injured people have been rescued.
