Bus accident in Dhading injures 20

KATHMANDU: A vehicle accident near Hugdikhola in Dhading injured 20 people.

At 4:45 a.m. on Saturday, the Bagmati Pradesh 03-001 Kha 2675 bus travelling from Tulsipur to Kathmandu on the Prithvi Lokmarg overturned on the right side of the road at Benighat Rorang-9 Hugdikhola.

Five of the victims are in critical condition. According to Jogimara police station, 28-year-old Prem Pun of 14 Rukum (West) Chaurjari and 85-year-old Shivlal BK of Dangisharan-1 of Dang have been referred to Kathmandu for treatment.

Man Bahadur Khadka, 50, of Salyan Baghchaur 10, and the other injured are being treated at Malekhu Teaching Hospital.

The condition of Rajendra Pun, 24, and his 6-year-old son Aashish of Salyan Sabeshwari 3, who are being treated in Malekhu, is critical, according to authorities.

Pun’s wife, Rekha KC, 32, was also injured, with injuries to various portions of her body, according to police.
