Responsibility of revenue investigation in the gold case been handed over to police

KATHMANDU: The Revenue Investigation Department has also delegated revenue investigation in the one quintal gold smuggling case to the police.

The department’s director general, Nawaraj Dhungana, stated that all apprehended suspects, products, and other materials will be turned over to the police.

‘Because other laws will be applied, it will be submitted to the police to conclude this inquiry,’ he explained.

So far, eighteen persons have been arrested in connection with the latest one-quintal gold smuggling case.

Three of them are foreigners.
