Biratnagar: man who brutally attacked laborer on bicycle released on 1 lakh Bail

KATHMANDU: The court has ruled that Aayush Bhetwal of Biratnagar-4, the automobile driver who beat up the laborers who were riding their bicycles home from work in Biratnagar, be released on an Rs. 100,000 bails.

A panel of District Court Morang Judge Durga Prasad Dhungel on Monday approved his release on a one lakh rupee bond.

A cyclist was beaten up near Biratnagar Metropolitan City 4 Dudh Farm Chowk.

On Sunday, a murder investigation was launched against him. The court has also set a deadline for the apprehension of those who have fled the scene.

Pawan Kumar Sah Haluwai, 27, of Biratnagar-6, was punched by Bhetwal on the night of Ashadh 20 (July 5) at Dudh Farm Chowk while riding his bicycle home from work. He was then hauled unconscious.

Bhetwal, who was in automobile number Ba 15 Ch 3445, came out and thrashed him for riding the bicycle in the wrong direction.

Aayush was arrested by police after the footage of the incident went viral.
