Three people held for demolishing a house under construction in Bajhang

KATHMANDU: Three persons have been arrested on charge of demolishing a house under construction in Bajhang.

After demolishing a dwelling on public land in Bitthadchir Rural Municipality, police arrested three persons.

The house being built by Karan Okheda was demolished by some locals on Friday.

A complaint was also filed with the ward office for the construction of a dwelling on public land. They then demolished the house and also destroyed the farm.

Following the incident, Karan Okheda’s father Putke filed a complaint with the District Police Office Bajhang on Friday, claiming that he built a house on Lalpurja (ownership certificate) land but that the people illegally demolished it. Putke has also given his name as Lalpurja. Following the complaint, the police attempted to understand both parties.

According to Chief DSP Jageshwar Bhandari of the District Police Office Bajhang, three persons have been arrested and are being investigated based on the victim’s complaint. The identities of those arrested have not been revealed.
