KATHMANDU: Heavy rain is possible in various regions of the nation today. It has been pouring severely in several locations since last night.

Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is falling in certain areas of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali states, as well as a few other states.
Across the country, the sky will be partly to partly overcast in the afternoon. There is a chance of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in parts of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim states, as well as a few other parts of the region.
According to the department, severe rain with thunder and lightning is possible in one or two areas of Koshi, Madhesh, Lumbini, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim States.
The department has informed that there would be regular night shifts around the country.
There is a chance of light to moderate rain with thunder in a few spots in all of the states’ hilly areas, as well as one or two places in the remaining areas. There is also a chance of severe rain with thunder and lightning in Koshi, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim states.
As there is a possibility of heavy rains, the department urges to take necessary precautions to avoid the risk or damage of Gegran flows, floods, landslides and soil erosion.
