Lalita niwas land case: SC order to release Secretary Krishna Bahadur Raut from prison

KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court has ordered the release of Lalita Niwas case detainee Secretary Krishna Bahadur Raut.

The court ordered Raut to be probed and barred him from leaving Nepal.

Three additional convicts’ writs have been dismissed.

A petition of habeas corpus was filed by Bhatbhateni owner Min Bahadur Gurung, Secretary Krishna Bahadur Raut, former Election Commission Commissioner Sudhir Kumar Shah, and former Land Revenue Officer Dharma Prasad Gautam.

Their writ has been dismissed.
