KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Metropolitan Mayor Balen Shah has written to the federal government requesting that all Indian films be banned in Nepal until the contentious dialogue from the Indian film ‘Adipurush’ is deleted.

Mayor Sah has written a letter to the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology asking them to take action to remove the part in the recently released Indian film, which says ‘Janaki is the daughter of India’. He mentioned in the letter that if the said Indian film is shown as it is, Nepal’s nationality, cultural unity and national identity will be directly attacked and irreparable damage will be done.
