Civil officials using TikTok in their office attire to face disciplinary action

KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration (MoFAGA) to take measures against federal personnel who use TikTok during working hours.

Wearing workplace attire, using government vehicles, and using TikTok within the office are all prohibited during working hours, according to Kamal Prasad Bhattarai, Joint Secretary and Ministry Spokesperson.
“We have also directed government employees not to make TikTok video even about office work related activities. Or one faces punishment under professional discipline for violating such rule,” he said.
The initiative follows complaints about government employees doing ‘indecent activities’ in TikTok lately, according to the Ministry.
