KATHMANDU: The vehicle that plunged into the Sunkosi River with the officers of the Technical Education and Vocational Training Council CTEVT was discovered on the fifth day.

On Friday afternoon, CTEVT’s two directors and an officer were riding in a Scorpio vehicle with the license plate B AB 7467 in the Khurkot-Ghurmi stretch of mid-hill from Laukun of Golanjore Rural Municipality-7 in the Sunkoshi river.

The vehicle was being searched by a team of divers led by Inspector Subas Thapa, who had been assigned from the Armed Police Force Nepal Disaster Management Training School in Kurintar.

However, after failing to locate it, the Sunkoshi water breaker was dispatched to the other side to look for it.

DSP and Assistant Spokesperson of the Armed Police Shailendra Thapa informed that two dead bodies were found with the vehicle. According to him, the identification of the body has not been done.

The vehicle that was carrying Krishna KC, 57, from Bhanu-9 of Tanahun, Director of Administration Branch of CTEVT from Bhaktapur to Khotang, Yamaprasad Bhurtel, 56, Director of Planning Division from Pragati-7 of Nawalparasi (East), and Bhanu Paudel, 32, from Ilam.

The injured driver, Krishna Chaudhary, swam out.
