Two daughters die 10 months apart, Gurung couple in mourning

KATHMANADU: Roshni Gurung, a seven-year-old child from Khotang’s Sakela Rural Municipality-1 Banjhechyandanda, died after falling from her third-floor home.

Roshni died during treatment after falling from a leased residence.

Roshni, a Diktel English Boarding School class II student, fell from three storeys around 4 p.m.

Roshni died in the evening while being treated at Diktel Family Care Hospital after falling from the third floor of a concrete house and being rescued.

She collapsed while playing with her firends after having lunch and returning from school. Roshni Gurung, who died, is the younger daughter of Rabin Gurung and Srijana Rai Gurung. Father Rabin has been driving a rented sumo car around the district, while mother has been renting a room and teaching her children in Diktel.

Rabin and Srijana were the parents of three children, two daughters and a son. Romi the eldest daughter of Gurung couple perished on Shrawan 13 (July 29).

The Gurung couple is in mourning after their two daughters died one after the other in an accident less than a year ago.
