Three gone missing after a jeep plunges into Sunkoshi river

SINDHULI: A jeep fell into the Sunkosi river from Golanjor Rural Municipality-7 Laukun of Sindhuli under the Madhyapahadi Highway.

Three passengers have gone missing in the mishap.

According to District Police Office Sindhuli Deputy Superintendent of Police Chiranjeevi Dahal, a jeep carrying a Council of Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) employee fell into the river while traveling from Kathmandu to Khotang.

He stated that there were four persons in the jeep, one of them was able to escape the Sunkosi River, but the condition of the other three remained unknown.

Their identity is not yet ascertained.

He stated that a police team has been sent from the district to carry out a search for the missing persons.
