Bhutanese refugee case culprits must be punished: Congress

KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress has said that shipping Nepalis to America disguised as Bhutanese refugees is an awful crime.

Everyone engaged in this case should be punished, according to Congress.

Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat, party spokesperson, stated this while providing information on the discussion at the office bearer meeting held in Dhumbarahi, the residence of party President Sher Bahadur Deuba.

‘Fake Bhutanese refugees are definitely a heinous crime,’ he said, ‘It is coming that such an unthinkable thing has happened. We got the information after it appeared in the newspaper. The activity is an inhumane criminal act. No matter how much you criticize, it will be less. Who is involved, how they have been involved, will be brought out by the investigating authority. There will also be investigation and judgment. Those who are involved, those who commit wrongful criminal activities should be brought to justice.’
