Govt stopped the committee’s decision, subsidy on chemical fertilizers remains the same

KATHMANDU: The government has decided to keep the chemical fertilizer subsidy unchanged.

The Council of Ministers meeting at Singha Durbar decided to uphold the decision made by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development’s thematic committee.

Government Spokesperson and Minister of Communication, Information, and Technology Rekha Sharma stated that following a thorough investigation into the chemical fertilizer subsidies, necessary decisions were made, and the decision was made to make them more systematic and scientific in the future.

Previously, the committee decided to reduce the subsidy for chemical fertilizers.
