BAGLUNG: The artistic restoration of Baglung’s Kalika temple, a tourist destination with religious and historical significance, has begun.

The temple’s roof will be covered with metal sheets, and artistic bricks will be used to enhance its appearance.

According to reports, the renovation is part of the temple Guthi management committee’s five-year strategic plan to beautify the temple.

The Kalika Mandir Guthi Management Committee devised a strategic plan to artistically transform the temple and temple area, claiming that the religious structures were made of concrete and that some structures interfered with the temple’s beauty.

Other structures in the temple area, such as Sattal and Havan Kund, are also being built in the old style.

The work on repairing the copper sheet of the roof was completed two months later. The temple’s exterior structure is being renovated with artistic bricks.

The temple will be made artistic and other structures will be built in an archeological style in the future, according to Kumar Khadka, chair of the Kalika Bhagwati Guthi Management Committee.

According to Khadka, the temple’s inner structure was dilapidated after the copper roof leaked, so maintenance was performed alongside the renovation.

According to the committee, 2.6 million will be spent on temple restoration, 70 lakhs on flat construction, and 13 lakhs on Havankund construction.
