Man arrested on charge of rape in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: Suraj Adhikari, 34, of Dhading Gangajamuna Rural Municipality-9 and currently residing in Sitapaila, Kathmandu Nagarjun Municipality-4, was arrested on Tuesday morning on charge of raping a 17-year-old girl.

Based on a complaint that the officer had forced the girl in a hotel in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-15 Karkhana Chowk, police from Swayambhu police circle arrested him.

The police are investigating further in this regard.
