POKHARA: Nepali Congress General Minister Gagan Thapa has said that he came to Pokhara after being humiliated by the party president.

Gagan said that the president did not invite him to discuss within the party and he felt humiliated by that.

‘Yesterday’s incident was like falling from 99 to bottom like in Snake & Ladder,’ he said at the ongoing Pokhara Literature Festival. To tell you the truth, I was on my way to Pokhara at 10 a.m. I opened the phone at 6 a.m. and waited for the president’s call the entire time.

I am now the party’s general minister as well as a member of the parliamentary party. According to the news, my president will meet with the party and decide on an alliance. I must also be a member of that party. I felt I should participate in the discussion.

He complained that it was done without discussion at the party office and that he was not summoned there. ‘That discussion took place in the residence, not the party office. There was no way I was going home unless I was invited.

‘After yesterday’s incident, I had to do the first thing, it’s a lose-lose case, it’s over,’ Gagan added. Congress will rise once more, and it will be raised.’ He stated that he was considering ways to improve the Congress.
